Overview
This role supports multiple business units within the Technology and Shopping division, providing legal guidance across a variety of commercial matters. The position is full-time and reports to a legal department with offices in NYC and CA. Work is structured as remote with flexibility to work from a company office if desired.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and/or draft a wide variety of commercial agreements, including vendor and revenue-generating agreements.
- Prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Stay current on new developments and provide relevant legal guidance for business, services, and technology.
- Build relationships with sales and legal colleagues and key stakeholders to provide practical legal and strategic advice.
- Advise on recommended courses of action, assess legal risks, and determine when issues should be escalated.
- Drive and contribute to legal projects as needed.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organization, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal clients.
- Apply sound business judgment, with flexibility and good judgment in managing legal risk.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school.
- State bar membership in good standing.
- 2-4 years of experience as a practicing attorney in a law firm and/or comparable in-house legal department.
- Cover letter outlining interest in the role.

NY Compensation Disclosure
Note: Disclosure as required by NYCHRL. The base salary range for this role when being performed in the City of New York is $125,000-135,000. Compensation for this business unit-specific role is based on experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, as well as business and company performance.
