Overview

A healthcare industry leader is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join their legal team. This role involves supporting high-impact legal work that directly influences business performance and team success. The position requires collaboration across multiple functions to advance priorities, solve complex problems, and deliver measurable outcomes. It offers the opportunity to impact both strategic direction and day-to-day execution in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Remote (U.S. based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available)

Compensation: $190,000 – $215,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of customer contracts
  • Negotiate partnership and channel agreements in coordination with General Counsel
  • Lead negotiations for high-risk vendor agreements, focusing on data and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain and improve contract templates, clause libraries, and internal legal guidance
  • Support go-to-market and product readiness initiatives through early issue identification and cross-functional collaboration
  • Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and escalate issues as necessary

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 7 to 12+ years of relevant legal experience with strong expertise in commercial contracting
  • Experience negotiating SaaS and data-driven agreements; background in health technology and privacy/security preferred
  • Strong judgment and communication skills to effectively present risks and practical options
  • Process-oriented mindset focused on building scalable legal systems
  • Collaborative approach with good instincts for escalation

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with LinkSquares, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), data use agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), and subscription agreements
  • Experience in health technology, privacy, and security compliance
  • Proficiency with contract management systems and collaborative tools
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies, compliance tracking tools, regulatory software, and data privacy compliance frameworks
