Overview

This role involves joining the Legal team supporting North America Commercial Contracts to negotiate and manage complex commercial agreements related to healthcare technology offerings. The position requires collaboration across multiple internal departments to facilitate deal execution with clarity and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of commercial agreements, including amendments, statements of work, confidentiality agreements, and contracts for hardware, software, XaaS, and SaaS offerings.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, obligations, risks, and practical business solutions using clear, plain language.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Sales, Contracts, Finance, Revenue Recognition, Regulatory, Deal Desk, Compliance, Product, and IT Security teams to ensure accurate and timely contracting.
  • Negotiate legal documents that balance business goals, customer needs, revenue priorities, and risk considerations.
  • Keep stakeholders informed about negotiation status, key terms, risks, and issues that could impact deal execution.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal teams and external customers while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and membership in good standing with a state bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
  • At least 3 years of experience collaborating with internal stakeholders during contract negotiations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with complex technology transactions.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills and understanding of common legal and business terms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex legal topics into everyday language.
  • Sound judgment, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to balance speed with accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a sales and service-focused environment with quarterly or yearly deadlines.
  • Background in fast-growing technology companies, publicly traded companies, or healthcare technology organizations.
  • Experience in the healthcare equipment or healthcare technology industry.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, CRM platforms, or contract management tools.
  • Basic knowledge of data privacy laws, HIPAA, and SaaS practices involving the security and processing of personally identifiable information (PII) and/or protected health information (PHI).
  • Curiosity, learning agility, and adaptability to evolving technologies, policies, and ways of working.
