Overview
This role provides legal counsel for commercial real estate services business lines, with a focus on brokerage services. Responsibilities include contract negotiation, review and drafting, risk management, and general legal advice. The position supports senior legal colleagues and business leadership with research and other projects as required.
Work is available remotely or in one of the company’s offices located in the U.S. region.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel to a range of business lines, using sound judgment to resolve legal matters.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to service line professionals to support their goals.
- Review internal shared services documentation from time to time, including vendor agreements and other procurement documents.
- Support senior legal colleagues and business line leadership with research and other projects as required.
- Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships across the organization to support shared understanding of objectives and service level agreements.
- Assist with review of internal shared services documentation from time to time, including leases and vendor agreements.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active member of at least one State Bar in good standing.
- 3 to 8 years of legal experience, preferably in-house within commercial real estate or a related industry.
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong business acumen and a practical, risk-focused approach to legal advice.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Knowledge of general commercial law and real estate agreements and transactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- In-house experience (particularly within the commercial real estate or professional services industry) preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range (approximate): $160,000 to $185,000

Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual performance.
