Overview

A healthcare organization specializing in the strategic and operational management of ambulatory surgery centers is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join their in-house legal team. This fully remote position involves providing legal advice and counsel on a broad range of topics related to the organization's business and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on legal issues arising from day-to-day operations and business arrangements
  • Identify legal risks and develop proactive compliance strategies
  • Provide strategic and tactical advice on operational, contracting, and transactional matters
  • Conduct legal research and analysis, preparing written opinions and guidance for management and internal teams
  • Draft, review, and assist in negotiating agreements with partners, health insurance companies, vendors, and governmental entities
  • Assist attorneys, compliance teams, and business partners in resolving legal, regulatory, and compliance matters
  • Support representation in informal dispute resolution, mediation, and administrative proceedings before governmental or regulatory bodies
  • Assist with special projects and other job-related duties as assigned
  • Act as a liaison between management and internal or external legal experts on specialized matters
  • Demonstrate commitment to corporate compliance programs, policies, and procedures

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and licensed attorney status
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in a healthcare environment
  • High-level analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Agile and flexible thinker with the ability to quickly learn emerging areas of law and business
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth and receptivity to feedback
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and occasional weekends based on business needs

Compensation & Benefits
