Overview
This role supports the Technology and Shopping division and helps multiple business units with contract and legal guidance across a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and/or draft a wide variety of commercial agreements, including vendor and revenue-generating agreements.
- Prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Stay current on new developments and legal guidance relevant to the business, services, and technology.
- Build relationships with sales and legal colleagues and other key stakeholders to provide practical, strategic legal advice.
- Advise on recommended courses of action, including legal risks, and determine when issues should be escalated.
- Drive and contribute to legal projects as needed.
- Maintain strong communication and organizational skills, including drafting and negotiation skills.
- Provide guidance and maintain strong working relationships with internal clients.
- Apply sound, practical business judgment, including flexibility and creativity when managing legal risks.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school.
- State bar membership in good standing.
- 2–4 years of experience as a practicing attorney in a law firm and/or comparable in-house legal department.

Compensation note:
- Disclosure as required by NYCHRL: the base salary range for this role when being performed in the City of New York is $125,000-135,000.
- Compensation for this business unit-specific role is based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, and business & company performance.
Location
- Full-time position reporting to a legal department sitting in NYC and CA.
- Remote structure with flexibility to work out of a company office if desired.
