Corporate Counsel
Overview
A leading provider of Business-Process-as-a-Service (BPaaS) solutions for Workday is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join their dynamic and collaborative legal team. This role involves serving as a trusted advisor to business teams, focusing on labor and employment matters as well as general commercial contracting. The organization is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with additional locations across North America and Europe. Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with various business teams to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide legal analysis and counsel to internal stakeholders, including senior leaders, as business strategies and compliance practices evolve.
- Review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts across different business units.
- Develop and deliver educational and training programs on legal matters for stakeholders.
- Draft, negotiate, and review Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements.
- Support product and services teams by providing legal guidance in the development of new offerings and the improvement of existing products and services.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and membership in the local state bar.
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in a law firm environment highly preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced services company.
- Self-motivated and solution-oriented.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, assess ambiguous situations, and provide clear legal guidance understandable to both lawyers and non-lawyers.
- Practical legal approach to solving business-related problems and developing pragmatic solutions that address differing perspectives and priorities.
