Overview

This role is for an experienced employer-side immigration attorney to lead and scale a corporate immigration practice. The position is remote within the U.S., full-time, with compensation ranging from $200,000 to over $1 million annually. The organization provides a platform that supports practice growth by handling operational, business development, and technology needs, allowing the attorney to focus on legal work.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary face of the corporate immigration practice, representing the practice in content, social media, events, and client presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HR and Legal teams at client companies.
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of attorneys, ensuring adherence to rigorous legal quality and service standards.
  • Deliver aggressive service level agreements (SLAs), maintain high legal quality, and ensure proactive client communication.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar admission.
  • Minimum of 7 years of employer-side immigration law experience.
  • Experience managing or developing legal teams.
  • Comfort with public visibility including thought leadership, social media presence, and client events.
  • Established professional network within HR, Legal, or People Operations circles.
  • Ambition to build and scale a legal practice rather than solely managing a docket.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary provides a guaranteed floor while the practice scales.
  • Profit-sharing structure:
    • For clients sourced through the organization: base salary plus profit share based on team performance.
    • For self-sourced clients: base salary plus a higher profit share percentage, reflecting ownership of the client book.
  • Access to technology that automates workflows, smart draft review tools, and a unified context hub to streamline case management.
  • Paralegal and operational support to allow focus on practicing law rather than project management.
  • Inbound corporate client pipeline generated by the organization's business development and marketing efforts.

Location

  • Remote position, U.S.-based candidates only.
