Overview
A global leader in the technology industry is seeking a Corporate Lawyer specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions to join as a lead contractor. This remote role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere and involves supporting complex corporate transactions with a focus on data privacy and compliance. Compensation ranges from $40 to $70 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and annotate complex corporate, M&A, and financial documents, ensuring compliance with data privacy standards
- Identify and mitigate risks related to personally identifiable information (PII), documenting best practices for anonymization and sensitive data handling
- Provide guidance on the structural identifiability of content to balance compliance with data utility
- Support the development of training data, evaluations, and feedback mechanisms to enhance AI model performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate legal expertise into AI development processes
Requirements
- Strong experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and finance, with emphasis on data privacy and regulatory compliance
- In-depth knowledge of PII regulations and best practices for anonymization and handling of sensitive data
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex legal issues
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong organizational and time management skills
