Overview
This role is for a Corporate/M&A Attorney working remotely on a contract basis. The position involves reviewing, analyzing, and annotating complex corporate, mergers & acquisitions, and financial documents with a focus on compliance and data privacy standards. Legal expertise in corporate law and financial services is essential; no prior AI experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and annotate corporate, M&A, and financial documents to ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory standards.
- Identify and address personally identifiable information (PII) exposure risks, documenting best practices for anonymization and sensitive data handling.
- Provide guidance on structural identifiability of content to ensure compliance while preserving data utility for AI training purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of training materials and resources reflecting current regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Maintain detailed documentation of compliance measures and data handling procedures for audit and review purposes.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in a state bar association.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, or financial services with a focus on compliance and data privacy.
- Strong understanding of PII exposure risks, anonymization techniques, and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable data privacy laws.
- Ability to analyze complex legal and financial documents and extract key compliance insights for AI training applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document best practices and provide clear guidance to non-legal stakeholders.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $40 - $70 per hour
