Overview
A remote contractor opportunity is available for a Corporate/M&A Attorney to support complex mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions. This role involves applying domain expertise to ensure compliance and data privacy in legal documentation, contributing to the development of training materials, and collaborating with teams to enhance data processing protocols. No prior AI experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and annotate complex corporate, M&A, and financial documents focusing on compliance and data privacy standards.
- Identify and address areas of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) exposure, documenting best practices for anonymization and sensitive data handling.
- Provide guidance on the structural identifiability of content to ensure compliance while preserving data utility.
- Support the creation of training materials and resources reflecting current regulatory and compliance frameworks in M&A and corporate law.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data processing protocols and reduce re-identification risks.
- Deliver detailed written and verbal feedback to optimize the accuracy and relevance of legal content interpretation.
- Stay current with evolving compliance requirements, particularly regarding sensitive information in financial and corporate sectors.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with PII compliance, especially in financial or corporate environments.
- Proven expertise in mergers & acquisitions, sensitive document handling, and data privacy regulations.
- Ability to identify direct and structural PII risks within various corporate documents.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance, with experience generalizing or omitting sensitive content as needed.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents related to financial transactions and corporate governance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in finance or corporate law with a deep understanding of sensitive document triage and reconciliation protocols.
- Experience developing or reviewing AI or data privacy training materials or protocols.
- Knowledge of global data privacy laws and cross-border compliance challenges.
