Overview
A leading organization in the healthcare sector is seeking a Counsel to join their team. This role focuses on initiatives at the intersection of scalable technology, AI-enabled capabilities, and business transformation. The Counsel will collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions, influencing architecture, execution quality, and long-term innovation within a healthcare environment.
Location

Compensation
- $144,200 – $288,400 annually
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of internal client business and operational goals
- Collaborate with team members to provide practical legal advice aligned with business objectives
- Counsel Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) division leadership on relevant legal issues
- Interpret and administer PBM services agreements and compliance matters
- Identify risks and recommend solutions consistent with business goals
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transactional and/or complex contracting within healthcare or law firms
- At least 2 years of healthcare law experience, including knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare, and the False Claims Act
- Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state
- Ability to travel up to 5%
- Undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor (JD) required
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, False Claims Act, and Federal Anti-Kickback Statute
- Experience with Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM)
- Expertise in complex contracting and healthcare law
- Strong business insight
- Experience with Contract Management Systems (e.g., Coupa, Icertis)
- Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance Software (e.g., ComplyAdvantage)
- Proficiency with Legal Research Tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
- Understanding of Healthcare Management Systems (e.g., Electronic Health Records)
