A leading organization in the Finance & Insurance sector is seeking a Counsel Strategic Response Legal to join their team. This role involves delivering key outcomes for customers and stakeholders, collaborating across functions, and taking ownership of critical priorities. Location
- Remote (U.S. based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available)
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $183,855 – $216,300
Responsibilities
- Lead legal responses for high-stakes internal projects requiring cross-functional collaboration
- Conduct thorough internal investigations into sensitive matters and events
- Quickly synthesize complex technical and legal information to support decision-making
- Communicate updates and strategic recommendations effectively to leadership
- Collaborate with the Global Intelligence team to prevent and address criminal activities
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years practicing as an attorney in law firms, corporate legal departments, or regulatory agencies
- Proven experience managing cross-functional legal projects
- Strong background in leading internal investigations
- Experience working with government regulators and law enforcement agencies
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Exceptional legal writing and analytical judgment skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with cross-functional project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Trello
- Experience with legal research databases like Westlaw or LexisNexis
- Knowledge of data analytics tools including Tableau or Power BI
- Understanding of digital currencies (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum) and blockchain technologies
- Ability to use SQL databases for data interrogation and analysis during investigations
- Skills in data visualization techniques to present findings from internal investigations
- Experience with incident response tools for managing crises and ensuring legal compliance
- Use of legal analytics tools to enhance decision-making in fast-paced environments
