Overview

A legal services organization is seeking a Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Lawyer to provide expert counsel to some of the world’s largest companies across multiple industries. This is an existing full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and counsel on privacy compliance requirements and opportunities to improve privacy policies.
  • Work directly with business and compliance clients, offering guidance and practical solutions.
  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders.
  • Provide legal advice regarding privacy impact assessments, data-sharing, and related privacy issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in the data privacy field.
  • Substantive experience with data protection and privacy laws, including in-depth knowledge of U.S. and EU privacy statutes such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Experience standardizing policies, protocols, and training programs, including drafting and reviewing vendor and client contracts.
  • Ability to provide guidance across various stakeholders, including business and product development, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, and procurement.
  • Active bar license in the state of residence.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated total compensation for full-time attorney roles ranges from $104,500 to $325,000 per year.
  • Compensation is based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.

Location

  • The position is open to candidates residing in various locations, with an active bar license required in the state of residence.
