Overview
A legal team is seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney with at least 1 year of experience to manage California employment litigation and defend against PAGA and class action claims.
Responsibilities
- Manage employment litigation cases from start through settlement, trial, arbitration, and appeal.
- Handle discovery, pleadings, motions, depositions, court hearings, and federal court matters.
- Defend employers against claims including PAGA, class actions, FEHA, labor code violations, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination.
- Lead workplace investigations and develop case strategies for client defense.
- Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients to mitigate employment-related risks.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of dedicated Labor & Employment law experience.
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Experience representing employers in California and federal employment matters.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, issue-spotting, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary range of $145,000 to $175,000 annually, based on experience and expertise.
