Overview
This role supports healthcare providers in disputes related to insurance claim denials and delays. The Associate Attorney will advocate in administrative appeals without the stress of litigation, using legal research, analysis, and persuasive writing to help drive successful claim resolutions.
Responsibilities
- Represent healthcare providers in administrative appeals for denied insurance claims.
- Develop creative and effective legal arguments to overturn claim denials.
- Draft compelling, well-researched appeal letters to insurance companies and benefit administrators.
- Use provider manuals and managed care contracts to dispute unjust denials.
- Work with provider representatives and resolution teams to navigate complex claims.
- Identify industry trends and provide insights to enhance recovery strategies.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support business objectives.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a supportive team.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
