Overview
This role supports the NIV (non-immigrant visa) team in a fast-paced immigration practice. Legal Assistants and Paralegals work with Team Managers and attorneys to prepare and file cases for a variety of non-immigrant and immigrant visa applications. Responsibilities include producing accurate forms and supporting documentation to handle case volume for both individuals and companies.
The position is based in the Denver office. Remote candidates will be considered, with preference given to those able to work according to Mountain Time Zone hours.
Responsibilities
- Expand on prior understanding of US Immigration Law using resources and training provided by the employer
- Build a deeper understanding of requirements and general case processing for non-immigrant visa types, including H-1B, TN, B, and L visas
- Draft and organize forms and documents as directed by the Team Manager
- Communicate with clients regarding visa instructions, approval notices, and welcome packages, alongside attorneys and more senior team members
- Assist legal and administrative teams in requesting and organizing documents for new processes
- Process and organize government correspondence, including receipt notices, approval notices, and requests for evidence
- Enter data accurately and consistently into internal data management platforms
- Complete other projects as directed by the Team Manager or attorney
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record
- 3–5 years of business immigration law experience required
- Superb attention to detail
- Strong analytical, critical, and quantitative thinking skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Demonstrated ability to utilize office software accurately and efficiently
- Willingness to adapt to and embrace updates in office technology
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting NIV case processing for non-immigrant visa types, including H-1B, TN, B, and L visas
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected salary range: between $65,000 and $85,000 per year (salary may vary based on location and experience)
