Overview
This role supports a foundational AI lab with contract review and negotiation expertise to help train a language model on professional document, spreadsheet, and slide-deck tasks.
The position involves creating, evaluating, and refining AI-generated materials across core workflows, including:
- Commercial contract redlines
- Due-diligence issue lists and memos
- Clause-risk analyses
- NDA and vendor-agreement review
- Negotiation position summaries
- Obligation and renewal trackers
Responsibilities
- Review, redline, and negotiate commercial agreements
- Conduct diligence review work, including issue lists and memos
- Analyze clauses for risk and provide guidance on mitigation
- Evaluate and refine outputs related to AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks
- Produce negotiation position summaries and track obligations/renewals
Qualifications
- 4+ years as a transactional attorney or contracts manager reviewing commercial agreements
- Direct ownership of redlining, negotiating, or diligence-reviewing contracts
- Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship
- Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail
Compensation & Benefits
- $100/hour
- Flexible commitment: 5–20 hours per week (or more if desired)
