Expert Opportunity – In-House Counsel ($225/hr, up to $4.5k/week)

Overview

A leading foundational AI lab is seeking experienced in-house lawyers to assist in training their latest language model by providing practical legal expertise that informs business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated legal work to ensure it is practical and useful in real-world business contexts
• Create, assess, and refine AI outputs related to core in-house legal tasks, including:
  • Contract review
  • Legal risk summaries
  • Board and management memos
  • Vendor agreements
  • Compliance analyses

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience
• Prior experience at a top law firm is highly preferred
• Broad exposure to commercial contracts, regulatory risk, and cross-functional legal support
• Strong practical judgment
• Clear and concise writing skills

Compensation & Commitment

• Hourly rate: $225
• Flexible commitment of up to 20 hours per week (up to $4,500 per week)
• Fully remote position with flexible scheduling
• Expected start date: March
