Family Law Paralegal

Overview

This role is open to Texas-based candidates only. The organization is seeking an experienced family law paralegal to join its team in Austin. The position supports case work from strategy through post-judgment client care, assisting families navigating divorce and custody disputes.

Responsibilities

• Support and shape case strategies by preparing discovery, drafting pleadings, motions, and mediation preparation
• File documents with the court and prepare trial exhibits
• Help resolve disputes creatively outside the courtroom (“dealmaker” support)
• Maintain confidence and competence in contested matters while keeping clients calm and informed
• Collaborate with the team to support shared case outcomes and continuous improvement

Requirements

• 10+ years of family law litigation experience
• Practical, empathetic, and client-focused approach
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
• Proficiency in Clio OR similar software

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong alignment with teamwork, excellence, integrity, and service
