Overview

This role is with a national boutique defense litigation law firm and involves serving as a Florida-licensed attorney focused on insurance defense civil litigation. The position is fully remote, with court appearances as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence
  • Handle all aspects of discovery
  • Research legal issues efficiently and competently
  • Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with colleagues and clients

Requirements

  • 5+ years of litigation experience at a personal injury defense law firm
  • Licensed to practice law in Florida and in good standing
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Outstanding references

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience handling personal injury and premises liability matters
  • Significant litigation experience including written discovery, motion work, depositions, and court hearings

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: Annualized pay ranges from $160,000 to $190,000 when calculated on a full-time basis
  • Contract engagement pay is based on multiple factors, including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference
