Overview

The organization is seeking Florida-licensed litigation attorneys with extensive complex commercial litigation experience for contract engagements with its in-house and law firm clients.

This role is remote and involves significant pretrial work, including discovery, legal research and writing, and preparation of legal pleadings, motions, and statements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and respond to discovery
  • Perform legal research and writing
  • Prepare legal pleadings, motions, and statements
  • Provide litigation support with the ability to work with little supervision

Requirements

  • 4+ years of complex commercial litigation experience
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in Florida
  • Outstanding references

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working at a full-service AmLaw 200 firm
  • Prior experience working at a sophisticated litigation boutique

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: Annualized pay for this contract position ranges from $120,000 to $200,000 when calculated on a full-time basis.

  • Pay methodology: Contract pay is based on multiple factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference.

  • Benefits: Contract professionals are usually W2 employees and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week.

  • Complimentary benefits (benefits-eligible roles): Group Life, LTD and AD&D

  • Retirement: A qualified 401k plan is available

  • Additional support (benefits-eligible attorneys): CLE and Professional Expense stipend
