Overview
Civil Litigation Attorney roles are available in the Chattanooga office for candidates with at least three years of experience. Qualified candidates at all experience levels are welcome to apply.
This position supports the Agriculture & Food Law practice group, handling complex litigation matters nationwide with a focus on agricultural chemical, crop protection, food law, product liability, toxic tort, commercial, and related litigation. Attorneys in this role work closely with clients, experts, and litigation teams across multiple jurisdictions, including Texas, New York, Georgia, and California.
Responsibilities span multiple phases of complex litigation, including:
- Case strategy
- Discovery
- Depositions
- Motion practice
- Trial preparation
- Client counseling
Occasional travel may be required to support nationwide litigation matters.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of complex litigation (case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, trial preparation)
- Provide client counseling throughout the litigation process
- Work closely with clients, experts, and litigation teams across multiple jurisdictions
- Develop and execute written and persuasive litigation communications, including courtroom-ready presentations (as applicable)
- Manage assignments effectively with minimal supervision
Requirements
- Licensed and admitted to practice in the State of Tennessee
- At least three years of civil litigation experience (minimum)
- Driven, collaborative team approach
- Excellent litigation skills, writing, and persuasive speaking abilities
- Strong academic credentials and demonstrated research abilities
- Self-starter who can handle assignments with minimal supervision
- Trial experience preferred but not required

- Admission in one or more additional states
- Interest in supporting nationwide litigation matters
