Overview

A growing legal firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Lending Attorney with over 4 years of experience. This role requires an entrepreneurial, hands-on lawyer capable of independently managing sophisticated commercial real estate lending transactions from start to finish. The position supports a robust pipeline of lender-side deals for private lender and developer clients.

Candidates must be admitted to practice in New York or have the ability to waive in.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and oversee complex commercial real estate lending transactions from inception through closing.
  • Draft and negotiate a broad range of loan documents, typically involving deals valued at $100 million or more, including construction and mezzanine loans.
  • Act as the primary client contact, delivering creative legal solutions tailored to sophisticated private lenders.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and a skilled paralegal team in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
  • Handle lender-side transactions across the United States, primarily involving industrial complexes and data centers.
  • Receive 25% origination credit for any business brought in.

Requirements

  • Admission to the New York bar or ability to waive in.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial real estate lending.
  • Proven ability to independently run complex deals from start to finish.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills for loan documents, including construction and mezzanine financing.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent client interaction skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range from $140,000 to $500,000, commensurate with ability rather than years of experience.
