Overview
A leading organization in the Manufacturing & Automotive sector is seeking a General Counsel to join their team. This role involves delivering key legal outcomes for customers and stakeholders, collaborating across functions, and owning strategic priorities. Location: Remote (U.S. based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available)
Compensation: $211,200 – $392,800 annually
Responsibilities
- Serve as the chief legal advisor on all legal, regulatory, and governance matters
- Lead the global legal strategy across critical domains
- Oversee corporate governance and enterprise policy frameworks
- Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and standards
- Partner with leadership on complex employee relations and risk issues
- Provide executive oversight of the organization's cybersecurity programs
- Act as the senior legal liaison for cybersecurity matters with key stakeholders
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree with active bar membership
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in legal, compliance, and risk-intensive environments
- Demonstrated experience overseeing or collaborating closely with cybersecurity or information security leaders
- Strong business acumen with experience advising senior executives
- Proven ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and organizational change
- Experience in regulated, global, or matrixed environments is preferred

- Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and information governance policies
- Familiarity with legal compliance systems, regulatory compliance tools, and risk management software
