A leading organization in the Information Technology sector is seeking a General Counsel to join their team remotely, with a preference for candidates based on the US East Coast. This role involves providing legal leadership and strategic guidance across various aspects of the business, including customer agreements, compliance, corporate governance, and litigation management. Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to the Executive Leadership Team
- Oversee negotiation and execution of high-value enterprise customer agreements
- Lead global compliance programs, including data protection and anti-corruption initiatives
- Provide counsel on corporate governance, mergers, and strategic transactions
- Advise on employment matters and executive compensation
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution strategies
- Develop and lead a high-performing global legal team and optimize legal operations
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school with active legal practice qualification
- Significant in-house leadership experience; General Counsel experience preferred
- Extensive background in enterprise SaaS and complex B2B technology environments
- Deep expertise in commercial contracting with multinational businesses
- Proven cross-border experience and familiarity with local regulations
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with executive teams and boards
- Strong judgment and leadership presence, balancing risk with business objectives

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $150,000 – $200,000
