Overview

A national defense law firm is seeking an Attorney licensed in New Mexico with 3-10 years of experience specializing in General Liability defense. The role involves representing a diverse client base including employers, carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insureds in defending against various General Liability claims. The firm emphasizes effective case management and vigorous client defense through all stages of litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare summaries of medical records to support client advocacy.
  • Draft motions and attend hearings to represent clients in court.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions as necessary.
  • Draft initial, interim, pre-trial, trial, and appellate reports.
  • Respond to discovery requests and draft discovery-related motions.
  • Regularly attend court appearances to advocate for clients.
  • Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.

Requirements

  • Admission to practice law in New Mexico.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a remote environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex legal issues.
  • Excellent research skills and strong written and oral communication abilities.
  • Experience drafting and responding to discovery-related motions.
  • Experience drafting motions for summary judgment.
  • Willingness to regularly attend court appearances and participate in depositions.

  • 3-10 years of experience specializing in General Liability defense.
