Overview
A national defense law firm is seeking an experienced Attorney licensed in Utah to join their General Liability Practice Group. This role is ideal for candidates with 3-10 years of experience specializing in defending against a wide range of General Liability claims. The team focuses on efficiently managing cases through the legal system while vigorously defending clients’ interests in court.
Responsibilities
- Review and prepare summaries of medical records to support client advocacy.
- Draft motions and attend hearings to represent clients.
- Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions as necessary.
- Draft initial, interim, pre-trial, trial, and appellate reports.
- Respond to discovery requests and draft discovery-related motions.
- Regularly attend court appearances to pursue favorable outcomes.
- Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
Requirements
- Admission to practice law in Utah.
- Ability to work efficiently in a remote environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex legal issues.
- Excellent research capabilities and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience drafting and responding to discovery-related motions.
- Experience drafting motions for summary judgment.
- Willingness to regularly attend court and participate in depositions.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 to 10 years of experience in General Liability defense.
