Overview
A national defense law firm is seeking an experienced Attorney licensed in Utah to join their General Liability Practice Group. This role is ideal for individuals with 3-10 years of experience specializing in defending against all types of General Liability claims. The team focuses on efficiently managing cases through the legal system while vigorously defending clients’ interests in court.
Responsibilities
- Review and prepare summaries of medical records to support client advocacy.
- Draft motions and attend hearings to represent clients.
- Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions as needed.
- Draft initial, interim, pre-trial, trial, and appellate reports.
- Respond to discovery requests and draft discovery-related motions.
- Regularly attend court appearances to pursue favorable outcomes.
- Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
Requirements
- Admission to practice law in Utah.
- Ability to work efficiently in a remote setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex legal issues.
- Excellent research skills and strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Experience drafting and responding to discovery-related motions.
- Experience drafting motions for summary judgment.
- Willingness to regularly attend court appearances.
- Experience taking and defending depositions.
