Overview
A legal services organization is seeking experienced Government Contract Attorneys to provide expert legal advice and support related to state, local, and federal government contracts. These attorneys will work embedded within in-house legal teams, assisting contracting teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on all aspects of government contracting, including contract formation, negotiation, performance, and termination.
- Support clients on government contracts-related issues as they arise.
- Assist clients in navigating government procurement processes such as bid protests, requests for proposals (RFPs), and contract disputes.
- Provide legal counsel on compliance matters related to government contracts, including regulations like FAR and DFARS, certifications, and reporting requirements.
- Offer legal support on state and local government contracting, including bid preparation, proposal submission, contract negotiation, and contract administration.
- Advise clients on regulatory compliance related to state and local government procurement, ensuring adherence to applicable statutes, regulations, and policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4+ years practicing law with a focus on government contracts, preferably within an IT corporation.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal acquisition regulations (FAR), agency-specific regulations, and other laws governing government contracts.
- Strong understanding of state and local procurement laws, regulations, and procedures, including public sector contracting and regulatory compliance.
- Active and good standing license to practice law in a U.S. state.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated total compensation for full-time attorney roles ranges from $104,500 to $325,000 per year.
- Compensation for non-attorney roles ranges from $71,250 to $309,750 per year.
- Compensation decisions are based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
