Overview
A legal counsel position is available for a remote role based in either the US or the UK. The role involves working with an international team of in-house lawyers and paralegals to handle a variety of legal matters across multiple group companies. This position requires managing cross-border contracting and understanding laws across different jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize complex commercial agreements including:
- Software-as-a-Service Agreements
- Software Licensing Agreements
- Data Protection Agreements
- Content Licensing Agreements
- Professional Services Agreements
- Partner Agreements
- Assess and manage varying risk profiles across different business units
- Apply sound business judgment in legal decision-making
Requirements
- Strong expertise in the enterprise software sector and related legal frameworks
- Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Experience with cross-border commercial contracts
- Familiarity with AI drafting tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of global privacy laws is advantageous
