Overview
A healthcare software startup is seeking a part-time, remote contract attorney with healthcare regulatory experience. The role requires expertise in healthcare regulatory frameworks such as Medicaid and Medicare, with a focus on claims, billing, and payment structures between healthcare providers and payors, including private insurers and government programs.
Responsibilities

- Advise on rules and processes governing claims, billing, and payment structures between healthcare providers and payors
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of healthcare regulatory experience
- Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare regulatory frameworks
- Understanding of claims, billing, and payment processes between healthcare providers and payors preferred
- Prior experience in a full-service law firm, sophisticated boutique firm, or in-house healthcare company preferred
- Outstanding professional references

Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized pay range (full-time equivalent): $160,000 to $200,000
- Pay rate depends on experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market factors, and candidate preference
