Overview
A legal staffing organization is seeking an attorney with healthcare regulatory experience for a remote contract engagement with a global AmLaw 100 law firm client. This role requires at least 3 years of experience in healthcare regulatory frameworks including Medicaid, facility licensing and change of ownership, provider licensure and scope of practice, and the corporate practice of medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal expertise on healthcare regulatory matters
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
- Navigate sub-regulatory guidance such as board opinions, FAQs, and other interpretive documents
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of healthcare regulatory experience
- Knowledge of Medicaid, facility licensing and change of ownership, provider licensure and scope of practice, and corporate practice of medicine
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Experience interpreting sub-regulatory guidance (board opinions, FAQs, interpretive documents)
- Prior experience at a full-service or sophisticated boutique law firm preferred
- Outstanding professional references

Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized compensation range: $150,000 - $180,000 (full-time equivalent)
- Pay rate depends on experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market factors, and candidate preference
