In-House Corporate Counsel

Overview

This role is for an experienced corporate attorney to join the legal department of a large North American logistics organization in a remote, full-time, permanent capacity.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience structuring, drafting, negotiating, and revising commercial agreements, including procurement and vendor agreements, technology and software licensing, marketing and sponsorship, supply and logistics, professional and consulting services, and customer-facing sales agreements. Prior experience working at a large corporate law firm and/or a large corporate legal department is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, negotiate, and revise a broad range of commercial agreements
• Handle contract work across areas including:
  • Procurement and vendor agreements
  • Technology and software licensing
  • Marketing and sponsorship
  • Supply and logistics
  • Professional and consulting services
  • Customer-facing sales agreements
• Analyze complex agreements and support business needs through clear, practical legal guidance

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial contracts experience
• Demonstrated ability to draft, negotiate, and analyze a wide range of complex commercial agreements
• Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school
• Outstanding references
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in state of residence

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working at a large corporate law firm and/or a large corporate legal department

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $180,000 to $220,000
• Bonus eligibility: This position is eligible for bonuses.
• Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
• In addition to pay, a competitive benefits package is provided.
