Overview
This role supports a healthcare company’s in-house legal team in an as-needed, part-time capacity. The engagement is designed for a healthcare contracts attorney who can manage a high volume of IT, procurement, and healthcare-related agreements while collaborating with business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate high-volume agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and Business Associate Agreements (BAAs)
- Provide business-oriented guidance on commercial contracting in healthcare and healthcare technology
- Ensure contract terms support compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and data privacy requirements, including PHI and security considerations
- Address interactions between IT contracts and HIPAA-related requirements
- Support procurement-related contracting needs, including process building and streamlining (experience in this area is a plus)
Requirements
- 5+ years of legal experience, with strong emphasis on commercial contracting in healthcare, healthcare technology, or a related regulated industry
- Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-volume agreements (including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and BAAs)
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA, with understanding of PHI handling and data privacy/security
- Familiarity with the interconnection of IT contracts with HIPPA
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing

- Experience working with a procurement team to build and streamline processes
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: Annualized pay ranges from $190,000 to $210,000. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
