Overview
An organization in the renewable energy sector is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to join its Real Estate and Project Development team in Nashville, TN. This role is ideal for a commercial real estate attorney with 4+ years of experience who wants to be directly involved in deals that build infrastructure, including site control and land use transactions.
Responsibilities
- Manage purchase options, easements, and closings from start to finish
- Provide legal advice that shapes project development
- Serve as a trusted advisor to project development, external affairs, and project finance teams
- Handle title and survey work and review purchase and sale agreements
- Manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of commercial real estate experience at a top-tier law firm or comparable in-house legal department
- Substantial, independent experience with purchase and sale transactions, title and survey review, and closings
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Active bar admission in good standing in at least one state
- Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
- Outstanding professional references from former supervisors
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with renewable energy clients is a plus
- Ability to work onsite in Nashville, TN preferred; remote candidates considered on a case-by-case basis if they have 4+ years of relevant experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $175,000 to $210,000 plus bonus, based on experience and qualifications
