Overview

An in-house role is available for a Real Estate & Project Development Attorney with a renewable energy organization in Nashville, TN.

This is a permanent, full-time position focused on hands-on management of real estate transactions supporting project development. The ideal candidate can independently drive deals with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage site control and land use transactions
  • Handle purchase options, easements, and closings from start to finish
  • Lead purchase and sale transactions, including title and survey review
  • Manage and coordinate deal progress to meet deadlines while supporting fast-paced project needs
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to project development, external affairs, and project finance teams

Requirements

  • 6+ years of real estate experience at a top-tier law firm or comparable in-house legal department
  • Substantial, independent experience with:
    • Purchase and sale transactions
    • Title and survey review
    • Closing
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional business teams
  • Active bar admission in good standing in at least one state
  • Strong academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Outstanding professional references from former supervisors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Renewable energy experience (preferred, not required)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $175,000 to $210,000 plus bonus
  • Pay is based on multiple factors including (but not limited to) work experience, qualifications, and credentials

  • Nashville, TN (in-office preferred)
  • Remote considered on a case-by-case basis
    • Remote candidates must have 6+ years of commercial real estate experience, including substantial work with renewable energy clients
