Overview

Part-time, remote role for in-house lawyers who negotiate technology contracts and want to help AI systems learn to do it properly.

Responsibilities

  • Mark up and negotiate simulated technology agreements.
  • Review how an AI handled the same scenarios, including:
    • Flagging missed risks
    • Identifying misread clauses
    • Assessing weak fallbacks
  • Help design scoring criteria used to grade the models.
  • Share practical guidance with the research team.
  • Provide feedback that engineers can act on (turn legal analysis into actionable guidance).
  • Collaborate with team members outside the legal function.

Requirements

  • Three or more years as in-house counsel focused on technology transactions, including experience with:
    • Master services agreements
    • NDAs
    • ISDA and derivatives paperwork
  • Strong drafting and careful proofreading habits.
  • Ability to translate legal analysis into feedback an engineer can implement.
  • Collaborative working style; comfortable working with people outside the legal team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bonus: earlier involvement in legal-tech, AI, or training projects.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Independent contractor role.
  • Remote, flexible scheduling at about 20 hours a week.
  • Compensation is per completed task (tasks average roughly 3.5 hours).
  • Published hourly equivalent: $90 to $130.
