Overview

An organization is seeking an Infrastructure Finance Lawyer to support clients on major infrastructure and project finance transactions. This role involves providing strategic legal advice, drafting and negotiating financing documentation, and managing multi-jurisdictional deals. The position offers the opportunity to work with top-tier organizations on high-profile infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support on infrastructure finance and project finance transactions, including structuring, negotiation, and documentation of complex financing arrangements for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review key financing documentation such as loan agreements, LMA-based facility agreements, security documentation, intercreditor agreements, and ancillary documents.
  • Support transactions across sectors including energy (renewables and power plants), transportation (roads, rail, airports), utilities, and digital infrastructure.
  • Manage domestic and cross-border transactions, coordinating with lenders, developers, funding parties, and external counsel.
  • Conduct legal analysis and due diligence by reviewing concession agreements and project documentation to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Qualified lawyer eligible to practice in the UK with the right to work in the UK.
  • Demonstrated experience advising on project finance and infrastructure finance transactions, including large-scale infrastructure developments.
  • Experience structuring, negotiating, and documenting project financing arrangements, including LMA documentation, concession agreements, and PFI/PPP structures.
  • Experience gained at leading law firms within project finance or infrastructure finance teams; in-house or secondment experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong commercial awareness, excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to deliver pragmatic, business-focused legal solutions.
