Overview
This part-time, remote contract role is for experienced In-House Counsel with strong technology transactions experience. The work involves applying practical legal judgment to simulated contract workflows and evaluating AI-generated responses for contractual accuracy, risk identification, negotiation quality, and legal reasoning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises.
- Review and assess AI-generated responses to transactional legal scenarios.
- Identify contractual, legal, drafting, and risk-related issues in model outputs.
- Provide detailed, actionable feedback to improve model accuracy and precision.
- Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for contract-related AI tasks.
- Apply consistent legal standards when assessing AI performance.
- Collaborate with product and research teams to refine evaluation guidelines, data, and best practices.
- Translate practical in-house legal experience into structured feedback for AI evaluation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of in-house legal experience focused on technology transactions.
- Strong experience negotiating and redlining commercial agreements, particularly:
- Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- ISDA agreements
- Derivatives transactions
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and review skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical judgment.
- Ability to translate legal expertise into clear, actionable feedback.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
- Interest in the intersection of law, technology, and AI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with AI, legal technology, or professional training initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
- Part-time, remote contractor engagement (task-based).
- Annual Compensation Equivalent: $172,800–$249,600/year
- Hourly Rate: $90–$130/hr
- The annual compensation figure is a full-time equivalent calculated at 40 hours per week across 48 workable weeks.
- Actual earnings depend on completed and approved tasks.
- Average handling time is approximately 3.5 hours per task.
- Payment is based on completed tasks that meet project specifications and are successfully approved.
