Overview
A national full-service law firm with over 250 attorneys across 16 offices is seeking an attorney to join its growing Insurance Coverage and Litigation Practice. This is a fully remote position requiring admission to practice in Illinois and at least 2 years of experience handling insurance coverage matters.
Responsibilities
- Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Analyze insurance policies and evaluate complex coverage issues
- Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, disclaimer letters, and other coverage-related correspondence
- Litigate insurance coverage matters, including depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trials
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents
- Communicate directly with clients to provide strategic guidance and regular case updates
- Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex coverage and litigation matters
Requirements
- Admission to practice in Illinois is required; admission in Indiana is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance coverage and/or insurance coverage litigation
- Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills

- Directors & Officers (D&O) liability coverage
- Financial institutions coverage
- Coverage opinion drafting and policy analysis
- Insurance coverage litigation, including motion practice and depositions
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $140,000 - $200,000 (salary is an estimate and will be determined based on market location, experience, skills, and qualifications)
