Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorneys

Overview

A national law firm with offices across all 50 states is seeking litigation attorneys for one of its Southern California offices, including San Diego, Carlsbad, Orange County, or Los Angeles. There is also an option to work remotely. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4 years of experience litigating insurance coverage and extra-contractual cases.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation involving California first and third-party property and casualty insurance coverage, professional liability, UIM/UM coverage, life, health, and disability matters, as well as bad faith litigation.
• Engage in complex litigation in both state and federal courts.
• Manage own litigation cases independently.
• Formulate and implement discovery plans, including taking and defending depositions.
• Evaluate potential insurance liability exposures.
• Prepare case assessments and evaluations.
• Balance workload across multiple matters while maintaining high-quality work product.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant litigation experience.
• Experience with California insurance coverage litigation.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Proven skills in legal writing, research, and litigation.
• California Bar licensure is required.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary range:
  • Associates: $100,000 - $150,000 per year
  • Senior Counsel/Of Counsel: $140,000 - $200,000 per year
  • Partners: $190,000 - $275,000 per year
• Actual salary will be based on skills, training, experience, and location.
