Insurance Defense Attorney - AZ/CA

Overview

An established legal practice is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney with over 2 years of experience to join their team. This remote position requires residency in California and offers a competitive salary range along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Defend insured clients in civil litigation cases, including personal injury, general liability, and property damage
• Manage cases from inception through resolution, handling pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice
• Draft and respond to discovery requests and prepare legal memoranda
• Conduct depositions and participate in mediations and court hearings
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy
• Maintain consistent communication and reporting with clients
• Meet deadlines and efficiently manage caseloads

Requirements

• Active bar admission in California
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense or related civil litigation
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage cases with increasing independence
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic and client-focused approach

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $115,000 - $170,000, depending on experience
• Comprehensive benefits package
