Investment Funds Lawyer for Part-Time Remote AI Contract Work (US)

Overview

Remote, part-time independent-contractor role focused on evaluating and improving AI outputs related to investment fund legal documentation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in simulated negotiations and redline fund documents as you would for a client.
• Grade AI-produced mark-ups and answers against objective criteria.
• Document where the model identified risk incorrectly or drafted provisions improperly.
• Help build and refine the grading standards used across the project.

Requirements

• JD and an active licence in at least one US state.
• At least two years of experience in the investment funds practice within a corporate law firm.
• Working familiarity with limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements, side letters, and related M&A-style documents.
• Clear, careful legal writing and attention to detail.
• Willingness to translate legal reasoning into feedback that can be used by feedback engineers.
• Prior legal-tech or AI exposure is a plus, not a requirement.

Compensation & Benefits

• Remote independent-contractor role, about 20 hours a week.
• Paid per completed task (roughly 3.5 hours each on average).
• Hourly equivalent for the role is $90 to $130.
