Overview

The organization is seeking a mid- to senior-level IP Patent Paralegal to join the Intellectual Property team. In this role, you will support clients’ patent practices through filings, docketing, and portfolio management, working closely with attorneys and other IP professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, file, and track patent applications and related documents.
  • Maintain patent docket systems and monitor filing deadlines and other key dates.
  • Support management of domestic and international patent portfolios.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, inventors, and outside counsel to gather information and support patent matters.
  • Maintain accurate patent records and prepare portfolio reports and status updates.
  • Assist with improving processes for patent filings, docketing, and portfolio administration.

Requirements

  • Mid- to senior-level experience as a patent or IP paralegal.
  • Experience with patent filings, docketing, and portfolio management.
  • Strong organizational, research, communication, and technology skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting domestic and international patent matters.
  • Familiarity with patent filing and docketing systems.
  • Experience coordinating with attorneys, inventors, and outside counsel.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated total compensation (full-time):
    • $104,500–$325,000 per year for attorney roles
    • $71,250–$309,750 per year for non-attorney roles
  • Compensation decisions are based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
