Overview

A government-focused organization is seeking a temporary Jr. Attorney/Sr. Paralegal to provide approximately three months of coverage within its Legal, Risk, & Contracts (LRC) function. This role supports a broad range of legal, contractual, operational, and administrative activities and serves as a key resource for internal stakeholders. The position requires experience with government contracts and familiarity with FAR and DFARS regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the Legal, Risk, and Contracts Jira Service Desk by:
    • Monitoring and triaging incoming requests
    • Assigning tickets and managing workflow
    • Tracking ticket status and following up with stakeholders
    • Assisting with system administration and user support
  • Review, draft, revise, and negotiate various agreements, including:
    • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
    • Teaming Agreements
    • Supplier and customer terms and conditions
    • Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements
  • Support employment and human resource matters by:
    • Responding to routine HR inquiries
    • Assisting with policy interpretation and employment documentation
    • Coordinating with internal stakeholders on personnel matters
  • Support supplier onboarding activities, including serving as a backup reviewer
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, document action items, and coordinate follow-up
  • Conduct legal and business research; prepare summaries, recommendations, and supporting documentation
  • Assist with routine legal administrative functions such as records management, compliance tracking, and maintenance of legal repositories
  • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Assist with project improvement efforts, documentation updates, and operational support activities
  • Perform various legal, compliance, and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD), paralegal certification, or equivalent legal/contracts experience
  • Experience in a law firm, corporate in-house legal department, or federal contracts department
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial and government contracts
  • Familiarity with FAR and DFARS regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Experience with ticketing, workflow, or contract management systems preferred
