Junior-Mid Level Litigation Associate Attorney

Overview

A national law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level Attorney to join the Defense Litigation Practice Group in the Schererville (Northwest Indiana) office. This role is also open to qualified remote candidates residing in Indiana.

This position offers meaningful responsibility from day one, with opportunities for professional growth through training, mentorship, and clear advancement pathways. The attorney will manage a diverse and challenging caseload while collaborating with a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a rigorous caseload independently, handling multiple matters efficiently while maintaining high-quality work.
• Draft complex motions, opinions, and pleadings.
• Conduct legal research and provide sound analysis.
• Exercise sound judgment and maintain a client-service orientation.

Requirements

• Active admission to the Indiana bar in good standing.
• 2-4 years of defense litigation experience, which may include general liability matters (product liability, construction defect, premises liability, vehicle liability), Dram Shop liability, and professional liability matters (medical malpractice, legal malpractice, errors and omissions).
• Demonstrated ability to manage a demanding caseload independently.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
