Junior Paralegal

Overview

This role is for a Junior Paralegal to join the Legal & Compliance team and support contract work for an international business in the IT industry. The position is entry-level, with hands-on exposure to commercial contracts and cross-border legal tasks.

You will prepare first drafts of standard contract documents, maintain contract registers, support compliance activities, and help ensure documents are accurate and consistent from first draft through signed versions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare first drafts of standard documents from templates, including:
  • NDAs
  • service agreements
  • SOWs (statements of work)
  • amendments
• Proofread contracts and check for consistency, defined terms, and cross-references
• Maintain contract registers for each jurisdiction, tracking key dates and renewals
• Conduct basic legal research in assigned areas of law and prepare short summaries
• Support compliance tasks, such as:
  • collecting required documents
  • completing questionnaires
  • preparing checklists
• Coordinate signatures, document flow, and communication with internal teams
• Own document and register accuracy by:
  • noticing inconsistencies or missing details early
  • flagging issues before they progress
  • suggesting improvements to templates and processes

Requirements

• Completed law degree or final-year law student
• 0–1 year of experience in a legal role (internships count)
• English at B2 level or higher, written and spoken
• Basic knowledge of civil and labour law
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documents
• Confident user of MS Office / Google Workspace and AI tools
• Organized and reliable, able to manage several tasks at once and keep information confidential

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an IT company, law firm, or in-house legal team
• Basic understanding of IT contracts (software development, licensing, IP assignment)
• Awareness of data protection rules
