Overview

The organization is seeking experienced Labor & Employment Attorneys to work on a contract engagement with corporate clients across a variety of industries. This role involves counseling employers and supporting clients on matters spanning federal, state, and local employment laws, including both litigation and compliance-related work.

Responsibilities

  • Counsel employers on a full range of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Handle litigation matters and employment disputes
  • Support wage and hour compliance
  • Advise on employment agreements
  • Manage collective bargaining disputes
  • Address unlawful discrimination claims

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a labor and employment attorney with a large law firm or a corporate legal department
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Licensed and in good standing in the state of residence
  • Outstanding references

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the labor and employment practice group of an AmLaw 200 firm, a sophisticated labor and employment boutique firm, and/or a large corporate legal department

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: The annualized pay for this contract position ranges from $120,000 to $200,000 when calculated on a full-time basis.
  • Contract pay is based on multiple factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and candidate preference.
  • Benefits: Contract professionals are usually W2 employees of the organization and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week.
  • Complimentary benefits for benefits-eligible contract professionals: Group Life, LTD and AD&D.
  • A qualified 401k plan is also available.
  • CLE and Professional Expense stipend for benefits-eligible attorneys.
