Overview
This role is for Labor & Employment specialists at a fully remote, national law firm. The practice serves clients with labor & employment compliance, best practices, and litigation across municipal, state, and federal matters.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on municipal, state, and federal labor & employment laws.
- Prepare companies from a labor & employment lens for financing rounds, mergers and acquisitions, and initial public offerings.
- Represent clients in early-stage litigation matters, including claims of:
- Discrimination
- Harassment
- Wrongful termination
- Retaliation
- Disability accommodation
- Wage-and-hour violations
Requirements
- At least seven years’ experience at a national or regional law firm.
- Graduation from a top-tier law school, or the ability to demonstrate an excellent and sustained reputation in the industry.
- Ability to advise local clients with national labor & employment needs.
- Experience or readiness to expand a practice by connecting with existing client needs and through business development efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing clients and a strong professional network.
- Interest in autonomy over your own practice while working with attorneys across corporate, intellectual property, and litigation practice groups.
Lateral Partnership (If Applicable)
- Prepared to demonstrate a significant transferrable book of originations.
- Applicants with less transferrable originations are welcome to apply for a position as counsel.
